Casey Anthony

Rob Lowe has just signed on to play Jeff Ashton, the Florida prosecutor in the recent Casey Anthony trial, in an upcoming Lifetime TV movie.

The actor most recently starred in a Lifetime flick playing Drew Peterson, the man charged with the death of his ex-wife, so clearly Rob Lowe is King when it comes to TV movie adaptations of high-profile murder cases.

The Hollywood Reporter says that the Casey Anthony biopic has a working title of “Prosecuting Casey Anthony,” and will be told from the perspective of Jeff Ashton, Lowe’s character.
And no surprise, it has 230 dislikes and counting.

An online video diary of Casey Anthony has been leaked online, and in it she talks about everything from skyping to adopting a dog. PETA, if there was ever a time to do your thing, this is it.

NBC confirmed the identity of the woman in the video as Anthony, but Anthony’s criminal and civil attorneys have not responded to requests for comment. The woman in the video dons a short blonde bob and glasses, and if you have a short blonde bob and glasses, now might be a good time to change up your look.

Y’all should’ve been better parents, mmmkuy?

I’m not sure what advice Dr. Phil has to offer George and Cindy Anthony, but everyone’s favorite armchair psychiatrist has interviewed the couple and will air the conversation on Tuesday.

The Anthonys have remained tight-lipped about their daughter, Casey Anthony, who was found not guilty in the murder of her daughter, Caylee. But for whatever reason, they’ve decided to open up their thoughts and feelings to Dr. Phil McGraw.

And no questions are off limits. This isn’t going to be like interviewing George Clooney without mentioning Stacy Keibler

So I guess the networks finally got sick of looking like jerks amidst all this Casey Anthony bidding war talk. NBC is now saying they haven't offered anything to Casey Anthony, or anyone affiliated with Casey Anthony, for an interview.

A rep from NBC told TMZ: "NBC News has not and will not be in a bidding war for a Casey Anthony interview. No money has or will be offered, no licensing or other arrangements. If we were to conduct an interview it would be under our standards."
Apparently the networks are still desperate to get the first post-trial interview with someone close to Casey Anthony. A syndicated talk show was reportedly “laughed at” when they bid $250,000 for an interview with Casey Anthony’s parents.

And the bidding for an interview with Casey herself has reportedly reached $1.5 million. It makes us all sick, but let’s be real. The bids are high because people are going to watch. It’s sad, but it’s true.
When Casey Anthony was trying to prove her innocence, she looked like complete crap. Her hair was awful, she dressed like an old man, and her eye bags were so big, they made Vince Vaughn’s bags look like coin purses.

Then suddenly, Casey gets off scot-free, and she turns into Alyssa Milano circa 1998. And it’s no surprise that her lawyers are now trying to sell her first interview.
So much for making a quiet exit out of jail. Casey Anthony was released from prison on Sunday and she made one heck of an exit.

Wearing a bright pink t-shirt she walked right out the front door of the Orange County jail with her lawyer. Clearly, she’s not scared of all the angry people out there.

There was a lot of news crews covering her release, but over a thousand people that don’t even know her came to the Florida jail to see her get released. There were bystanders yelling things like “Killer!”

The one thing people don’t know is where Casey is headed after getting released from jail.

Casey was acquitted of murder charges in her daughter Caylee’s 2008. Her acquittal has outraged many people.
Jerry Springer has stooped to new lows and new highs too. Casey Anthony, found not guilty of murdering her two-year-old daughter, has been offered $1 million to appear on “The Jerry Springer Show.”

I have no idea what the usual compensation is on this show, but pretty sure that when the show features it’s usual slew of baby mommas throwing chairs at their is-he isn’t-he my baby daddy, they aren’t getting paid more than a free hair-cut and some craft services.
Casey Anthony will have to spend a year in jail for each of the four charges against her. The judge is giving her credit for the time she already served. It's not exactly justice being served, but it's a little better than knowing she's popping champagne across the street.

Anthony was found not guilty on Tuesday of murdering her two-year-old daughter, but she was convicted of four misdemeanor counts of lying to law enforcement officers.

The judge, Belvin Perry, says he will work...

Nancy Grace's head is going to explode. One of the jurors in the Casey Anthony trial is apparently soliciting major media outlets. The unidentified male juror is asking for five figures in exchange for an exclusive interview.

A lawyer is sending out letters that read: "Our client -- a married, college-educated, 33-year-old white male with two young children -- is willing to consider granting one or more media interviews so long as the opportunities are paid."

Between the defense team...
