Carson Daly has something to cheer about today and not just that his singing competition show somehow managed to get picked up for another season.
“The Voice” host welcomed his first daughter, Etta Jones, into the world last night with his longtime girlfriend, Siri Pinter. The baby arrived just in time to catch the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.
Carson announced the news on his Facebook page…
“Tonight at 5:15pm we welcomed the latest addition to our family,” he wrote.
The girl weighed in at a healthy 8 lbs and joins her brother Jackson James, 3…
“Mom was a rockstar,” Carson continued in the message. “Jackson James is a proud big bro, and dad's drinking a cold one. Praise God.”
Carson and Siri announced the pregnancy in May. The host kept fans posted, tweeting at his followers along the way leading up to the birth.

Pinter - a food blogger - wrote about a sacred maternity salad served at Caioti Pizza Café in Studio City on her site Siriously Delicious.
“Apparently, pregnant women flock there everyday to eat this famous dish that is supposed to induce labor,” she wrote. “They claim it's made from natural ingredients, but if it truly does "work" I'm going to guess it's either laced with castor oil or pitocin.”
It must have proven successful… Pinter ate the salad on a Thursday morning episode of Carson’s radio show on AMP Radio. Hours later, she had a new baby in her hands.
Congrats to the proud parents!
