We’ve all been dying to get a closer look at Carrie Underwood's engagement ring, ever since she was spotted flashing it while at her fiance’s hockey game earlier in the week.
An although we haven’t gotten our hands on a close-up picture, we do have the deets! According to People, the sparkler is a flawless yellow diamond that was set by Joanthan Arndt.
Carrie has worked with this particular designer in the past—she wore two of Arndt’s butterfly pins at the 2007 CMAs, which were reportedly worth six million dollars. We can’t even imagine what her latest addition cost Mike Fisher!
Arndt had some kind words for the newly engaged Carrie and Mike. He said in a statement, “This ring is a symbol of love from Mike Fisher to Carrie Underwood.”
Fisher’s parents also seem thrilled about their daughter-in-law-to-be. Mike’s father told Canadian paper the Peterborough Examiner , "Both Karen and I were quite excited. We're very happy for them."
"We've gotten to know [Underwood] quite well over the last year and she's a great girl," Jim Fisher said. "We just think they make a great couple."
And like a good dad, when asked about the wedding, he said, "They're staying pretty private... They haven't gone into a lot of detail. I can't comment on that... He didn't so I'm not."
Carrie is one lucky girl! Now if we could only get a closer look at that ring!
