Carrie Underwood: Why I Don't Want to Get Pregnant

Congratulations, Carrie Underwood. You’re the only person in Hollywood who isn’t pregnant right now.

Country star Carrie Underwood is taking her time to start a family with husband Mike Fisher. The singer told Extra: “I’m good right now. As long as he’s playing [hockey] and I’m doing this, it doesn’t make sense. So no babies.”

Carrie and Mike tied the knot on July 10, 2010, and she says married life is keeping her occupied enough—she’s just not ready for motherhood.

"I have my best friend around me all the time. Everybody's like, 'The first year is the hardest,' and I'm like, 'That's it? That was the hardest? Come on, you can do better than that!' It's great; he's wonderful."

Alright, we get it. Wedded bliss.

Carrie has been rumored to be joining Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid as a judge on X-Factor. Which is scandalous, because, if you’ll remember, Carrie is an American Idol alum. But Carrie took it upon herself to dispel the rumor.

"I think it's great that Simon has ‘The X Factor show’, and I love seeing all of these shows giving nobodies a big opportunity.”

And those nobodies are oh, so entertaining. But Carrie says she remains loyal to her ‘Idol’ roots.

“I'm an ‘Idol’ girl all the way," Carrie said. "That's the one that I love and watch. I can't see myself being a part of any another show like that."
