Donald Trump held a press conference this morning live from New York City in order to address the situation surrounding
Carrie Prejean.
Trump has decided to allow Carrie to remain as Miss California. Throughout his short speech, it was obvious that Trump has a lot of respect for Carrie.
He called Carrie “lovely” and told the crowd that she gave a very honest answer during the Miss USA Pageant. He also said, “If her beauty weren’t so great, no one would care.”
He said he and the organizers had reviewed the pictures, and defended Carrie Prejean, saying that she is a successful model and “we’re living in the 21st century.”
He said, “We have determined that the pictures are fine.” He went on to say that many of the pictures were “lovely.”
Trump told the crowd: “Carrie will remain Miss California.”
After he announced the news, many moans were heard, but one member of the crowd applauded, to which Trump replied, “I’ve never heard the paparazzi clap.”
Carrie then took the stage to acknowledge Trump, the Miss California organization, thank God, and say that she’s standing up for what she believes in.
