Congrats to model/ DJ / actress and now fashion designer Caroline
D'Amore who got engaged to filmmaker Matthew Ross. The
23-year-old LA hipster spoke to Hollyscoop exclusively about her
engagement plans and when she is planning her big day down the aisle.
Mathew popped the question one week ago but the couple has been dating for
about a year. The two met at Danny Masterson's jazz night Guy's bar.
Caroline spotted Mathew from across the bar and approached him and they've
been inseparable since. Over the years, she has been courted by many actors
and musicians, but admits that they are just not her type. With Matthew,
Caroline says that its true love and that "everyday [they] fall more and
more in love. "We're best friends and we find each other insanely
attractive." Caroline also gushes, "He's made me want to be better
In regards to their upcoming wedding, Caroline says she is in the midst of
planning an engagement party first. She will have one in Los Angeles and one
in New York City, since she's a L.A. girl and Mathew is from New York.
Caroline says there won't be a wedding soon since she's really busy with her
career, but will start planning her wedding next year. Ideally, she said she
would love to have a wedding on a beach and go barefoot, just like her
parents did. But don't expect a Pitt/Aniston style beach wedding, she
stated, "I don't want a big dress or the whole shabang."
Caroline has a full plate on her hands as she just launched her swimwear
line "D'Amore by Marceau", a new restaurant in Tarzana, California which
will be an addition to her family's well-known chain, D'Amore's Pizza
Connection, but this one will be wholly owned and operated by Caroline and
her sister Bonnie. Caroline is also getting her feet wet with acting. We're
definitely going to be seeing more of her on the big screen as she takes the
lead role in the forthcoming film "Pizza With Bullets" opposite Oscar
Nominee Talia Shire. When it comes to juggling her many roles Caroline does
stress that acting is her real passion and wants to be taken seriously.
"I want to be known for my talents and not for whom I am friends with or
what drama may be happening around me". Unlike other young Hollywood
stars, Caroline doesn't want to take the scandal route and actually wants to
establish a solid career for herself.
