To be completely honest, I had no idea that Carmen Electra was ever a pop star. I kind of just thought she was famous for being hot, and also her brief stint as the lead performer for the Pussy Cat Dolls.
Anyways, Simon Cowell’s main squeeze (for the moment) says she’s returning to her musical roots with a new album out on November 13th.
Carmen covers Glamoholic magazine, and reminds us that she’s a singer first, professional hot person second.
“When I first arrived in LA I auditioned for an all girl group that prince was producing and at the same time walked into capitol records and got a demo deal, the next thng I know I was living in Minneapolis and recording an entire album,” says Carmen.
Her new single “I Like It Loud” will drop in a few weeks and says, “[Music] is what I’ve started off doing, it’s always been a passion of mine. I’ve always been the kind of person that can go with the flow and I’ve been able to do a lot of different things with my career.”
Okay, that’s all fine and dandy, but I want to hear about dating Simon Cowell. That has got to be weird, right?
“I’m keeping my dating life to myself as of now, but it’s a new time in my life and I’m in a really good place,” says the singer/model/personality.
“New time in my life” is pretty telling. She used to date “bad boys” and Simon isn’t really a bad boy, more like a “corporate bad boy.”
However, when the mag asked her which of the singing competition shows on TV is her favorite she said, “Of course The X Factor!”
Oh “of course” Carmen, of course it’s The X Factor. Hint hint wink wink.
