A trailer for The Great Gatsby has hit the internet and it has about as much swagger as James Bond in a Jay-Z music video. Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire star in this glitzy flick that seems to mix F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel with the hit budget, crisp look of Chicago.
“The buildings were higher, the parties were bigger, the morals were looser, and the liquor was cheaper,” Maguire voices.
The trailer opens with Jay-Z and Kanye West’s thumping “No Church in the Wild” from their Watch The Throne album

A source tells RadarOnline.com, “Carey and Marcus are counting down the days till they tie the knot! She is absolutely walking on air and can hardly contain her excitement,” adding, “They don’t care that some of their friends think they are rushing things.”

Carey, who was first spotted with Marcus at an intimate concert in Nashville in February, was spotted showing off an engagement ring to guests at Babington House in Somerset, South West England this past week.
A witness told The Sun newspaper: “Carey looked like the cat who had got the cream. She was wearing a beautiful ring...

RadarOnline reports that Gyllenhaal took Mulligan to a Mumford & Sons concert last weekend in Tennessee. There are few bands worth visiting Tennessee for, and Mumford & Sons is not one of them. But these are things that rich, White people love: indie music, girls with pixie cuts, and traveling a thousand miles just to see a show.
After the concert, the two had dinner with the band at City House, aka the one restaurant in Nashville that isn’t Waffle House or Denny’s.
Mulligan discussed some of her views on relationships: “I say how I feel. I say things as I think them. I can be in a mood for half a day then say everything. I would never hold on to a feeling for years. If you put something out there and it doesn't work, you can forget it and carry on.”
Sounds like typical, crazy girlfriend with baggage talk. But then again, anytime a woman discusses her feelings she sounds unstable. It’s not fair. The most we’re allowed to say without sounding high-maintenance is “Me like fried chicken.”

Carey, whose relationship with Shia LaBeouf ended in October, says she feels lucky no one ever recognizes her because she gets to live her life under the radar.
She said: “I don’t have to do anything! Hand on heart, I’ve never been stopped in the street by anyone. Ever. No one recognizes me, which is great." She added, “My life hasn’t really changed. I don’t have to alter anything about my life, really."
But no being recognized can always have a downside. “I was sitting in a gondola at Telluride Film Festival with six people who had just watched ‘Never Let Me Go’. They were having a conversation about it and criticizing it and I was sitting there and they had no idea.”
When asked why she thinks she's remained under the radar she explained to LOOK magazine: “I think that fame comes with big films where people are playing characters, like comic book movies, and an audience has ownership over that person. For the films I have been in so far, the fan base is different.”
Whatever the case she has lifelong fans here at Hollyscoop. She's so elegant and graceful, how can anyone not love her?

The two had met on the set of the Wall Street sequel and they seemed to be so happy together but clearly, they were not that happy if they called it quits.
Shia LaBeouf and Carey Mulligan Split
“It just wasn’t working,” a friend of Carey told Us Weekly. “She’s strong,” adds the pal. “She’ll be fine!”
Carey went back to London after the split, but has returned back to Los Angeles to film another movie.
We actually thought this relationship would work. Shia even gave the cutest interview a few months back praising Mulligan.
He said: "I never really had anything in my life that was off-limits but with this, just out of respect, I just don't want to f**k around. She's an unbelievably thought-provoking actress, the most talented actress I've ever met in my life, by leaps and bounds."
Shia was always that angry dude, but he had turned into a love struck softy with Carey. That didn't last long!

Carey is moving back to her native Britain after cooling off her relationship with Shia, reports Britain's Sunday Telegraph.
Carey is quoted in the publication as saying, "I'm moving back to England; it's a long story."
She adds, "I am spending more time here at the moment. Just spending time with my family, really."
It's classy of her to not reveal any details, but that quote alone says it all. They were so cute together, it's a shame they didn't work out.
We hope this doesn't have anything to do with Shia's hot new Transformers 3 co-star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

She was so amazing in An Education she collected fourteen awards and twelve nominations, including one for the Oscar as Best Actress. So it should come as no surprise that Anna Wintour picked her to be Vogue magazine's October cover girl.
Dressed in the season's hottest couture gowns, Carey, who is dating her 'Wall Street' co-star Shia LaBeouf, tells the magazine why she wants to be on Glee, why she'll never get scary skinny and where she draws inspiration from. Here are some highlights from the article:
On wanting a guest spot on Glee:: “I want to be in Glee, but I’m told I’m not famous enough to be a cameo yet.”
On why she'll never get scary skinny: “The thinnest I’ve ever been was after I had my appendix out, during the London run of The Seagull. I went down to 112 pounds and realized my brain doesn’t work when I’m that thin, so I can’t do my job. That’s why, when I came out here, I never had that whole Hollywood pressure thing. I never said I wanted to be a lead actress; I never said I wanted to be a film actress. This need to trump everyone bewilders me. I’m only 25. I’m not better than anyone. I just want to watch other people and learn to be good.”
On growing up in the InterContinental hotel in Hannover with her family: “It sounds like you’re living in a great mansion, but the staff don’t work for you; everyone works for everyone else. We were part of a team, like mini waiters.” Carey and her older brother, Owain, were under strict orders from their Welsh mother, Nano, to keep their rooms tidy. They spoke German, played in the laundry rooms, lost guinea pigs behind radiators, ate Wiener schnitzel from room service. “They weren’t roller-skating around the lobby,” says Nano Mulligan. “We treated the rooms with such respect,” says Carey, “that it’s only in the last year that I’ve dared take anything from the minibars.”
On how she draws inspiration: “I’ve never had anything bad happen to me; I’ve never had my heart broken; I’ve never had any drama; I don’t have anything gut-wrenching to use. Ian is a brilliant director: He’d place one thought in my head, and I’d have a whole spectrum of stuff to mess about with. He said, ‘Build your own world; don’t use your own life.’ I made a book full of quotes, pictures, and poetry for Nina, as if it were my university thesis, my qualification for playing the part. I can only invent by drawing on what other, brilliant people have written that I can’t write or articulate as brilliantly, and when I read it, it becomes my own. “It’s crazy,” said Carey, “the best nights were when I’d come offstage with no memory at all of what had happened. I don’t know what happened to the audience—but I believed every single second. You can get completely lost in The Seagull.” Echoing what Meryl Streep said 30 years ago, she added, “It’s like putting on a hat—I leave it in the car on the way home.”
On dresses she avoids: Anything “above the knee, tight, girly, or ridiculous.”
