Evans worked out rigorously to get in shape for the epic role. Hollyscoop caught up with Evans at the Captain America premiere, where Evans told us the body transformation was "nerve wracking."
"You want to make sure you do it justice," Evans told HS. "We did about four months of training for two hours a day."

The much-anticipated trailer for Captain America: The First Avenger was just released.
Chris Evans stars as Steve Rogers, a soldier deemed unfit for military service, who volunteers for a top-secret research project.
Can you guess what the top-secret project is? If you haven’t caught on by now you should probably skip on the movie. Evans transforms into Captain America, a superhero dedicated to defending America's ideals.
I'm not much a super-hero person, but if Chris is going to be topless at any point in the movie, he can have my $11 dollars.
The super hero flick hits theaters on July 22. In the meanwhile, you can watch the trailer below:

Insiders tell Fox 411 that he’s appeared numerous times in front of producers since the start of the year. "John has read 4 times and is doing screen tests," says the source. "He has screen tested 2 times so far. It's very likely that he will be the new Captain America. He is a favorite among the key decision makers and has been asked to come back for more this week."
The Marvel bosses are pretty set on him, and now they need to find him a female counterpart. "The big bosses are having him read with multiple actresses up for the female leads. They want to lock down the role and then they will narrow down everyone else."
The insider continued. "It's a surprise and we are bracing ourselves for 'that guy from 'The Office'' to land Captain America. They are not really looking at the other guys, so it's time to get ready to work with him."
And this sounds like a job that will keep on giving! The insider says, "If John gets offered the role, the pay will not be outrageous but it would be a multi-film deal. Marvel has big plans to tie the movies together and John would have parts in all of them since the first Captain America will be an origin story. The movie will break down how Steve Rogers becomes Captain America.”
We’d love to see John break out of the usual comedic roles he’s used to. Can you see Jim Halpert as Captain America?
