Camp Rock

Camp Rock was such a hit that chances are the Jonas Brothers are going to make a return for the sequel. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Disney wants to do a sequel and release it in late spring or summer of 2009.

Camp Rock made its debut last week and took the number one spot in its 8pm time slot with 8.9 million viewers. It even beat out the original High School Musical.

What Disney is probably trying to do is make as many of these as they can since it's so popular with the kids. High School Musical 2 broke so many records by getting 17.2 million viewers when it debuted in August 2007. Chances are that "Camp Rock" 2 will break some records as well.

Now it's High School Musical vs. Camp Rock! Which team are you on?
Camp Rock @ 8pm
Fans of the hot, hot, hot Jonas Brothers won't be disappointed in this long-awaited, song-filled flick set at a summer camp for aspiring singers and musicians. Demi Lovato stars as Mitchie, a novice singer-songwriter who attends Camp Rock when her mom is hired as the cook. There, she meets Shane Gray (Joe Jonas), a spoiled pop star who is at camp to repair his tarnished image and redefine his sound. Romance soon blossoms, of course, but it's threatened by a requisite hurdle or two. It all plays out predictably, but who doesn't love a fairy tale ending? Nick and Kevin Jonas appear in minor roles, but the three do rock out on stage together in one of the movie's many musical highlights.

Daytime Emmy Awards @ 8pm
Regis Philbin has been a loser more than a winner at the Daytime Emmys in recent years (three for 10 since 1999), but tonight's another night and he's up for best talk-show host yet again. Besides, he'll come away a winner no matter what happens in that category since he's also the recipient of this year's Lifetime Achievement Award. The leader in the nominations race is CBS with 56, powered by *The Young and the Restless* (17), *Guiding Light* (13) and *As the World Turns* (12). And PBS is No. 2 with 50, thanks to Elmo, Buster, Wordgirl and Curious George, among others. Cameron Mathison and Sherri Shepherd are the hosts.

Chelsea Lately @ 11:30pm
The hilarious and quick-witted Chelsea Handler takes a unique look at celebrity news, gossip, and pop culture with a roundtable of guests in front of a live studio audience. She also squeezes in plenty of celebrity one-on-ones and comedy pieces from the field to keep viewers laughing. Tonight Chelsea welcomes singer, songwriter and actress Ashanti, who hasn't made a record in five years. Welcome back A!! Will her new record sell like Lil' Wayne??

Doctor Who @ 9pm
It's comforting to see that even in the technology-rich realm of Doctor Who there are people who still read books. Apparently, they still use libraries, too, and while it's quite normal to expect a library to be on the quiet side, the massive facility visited by Donna and the Doctor is silent in a sinister way. Fans eager for a glimpse of the Doctor's future should "book" some time to catch Part 1 of this two-part tale.

Duel @ 9pm
This high stakes game show combines the class quiz show formula with the psychology and bluffing of gambling. Contestants must go head to head to win a big-money jackpot.

Are you ready for Camp Rock? Cause the Jonas Brothers are! Yesterday, the bros hit the streets of NY to promote the flick Camp Rock then they went home and wrote a message for their fans.

Read the message below:

Hey everyone!

Today was quite a day. We got in late last night. We were able to sleep in this morning. After a good night sleep we went over to the venue for a sound check with our friend, Demi Lovato.

At 3 pm we had a meet and greet with kids from the Make A Wish Foundation. It is always good to meet these kids that are going through so much.

The Red Carpet started at 4 pm. It was one of the longest Red Carpets ever. We had so much fun. There were tons of fans lined up on the sidewalk shouting when we came out.

The movie is amazing! It was fun to see all of the cast from Camp Rock. They really are great people and good friends. We hope that people will love it.

After the movie we went to the Camp Rock After Party and then out to eat at John's Pizza in the Broadway area of New York with the other cast members. It is one of our favorite places to eat when we visit NY.

Tomorrow we have a long day of press and then we get back on a plane to fly to Milan, Italy for the Avril Lavigne tour.

Thanks for checking in

JB
Kevin, Joe and Nick
