Busy Philips Welcomes Baby Girl

With a name like Busy, you'd think Busy Philips would give her daughter a more mainstream name. But instead, she named her newborn baby Birdie.

Busy and her screenwriter husband Marc Silverstein welcomed Birdie Leigh Silverstein yesterday, and she weighed in at a whopping 9 lbs., 7 oz.

Busy didn't let being pregnant stand in the way of her work either. She shot episodes of The Sarah Connor Chronicles while she was in her third trimester! Busy got her start back in the day on Dawson's Creek.

Maybe she and Katie can have play dates with their little girls now!

It's really not a good idea to give a child and unusual name, as they can be teased and taunted when they have "friends". Kids can be cruel and life is hard enough.

Busy Phillips, BORN Elizabeth Jean Phillips. No one made fun of her name as a kid, so she'd hardly be sympathetic.
