Bruce Willis was born on March 19, 1955 in Idar-Oberstein, West Germany. His mother was German and his father was an American soldier stationed in Germany. His first major film role was the 1987 movie Blind Date starring Kim Basinger. Willis acting career skyrocketed after his performance as John McClane in the action film Die Hard.
Willis married actress Demi Moore in 1987. They had three children together but divorced in 2000. He has starred in several successful films like Pulp Fiction, The Sixth Sense and Twelve Monkeys. During his career, it is estimated that Willis' movies have grossed nearly $3 billion at the box office.
