Brooke Mueller Ordered to Rehab for Nine Months

And no, Sober Valley Lodge doesn’t count.

After being arrested over the weekend, Brooke Mueller has reportedly been instructed by medical professionals to enter rehab for a period of “at least nine months.”

On Friday, Brooke was arrested in Aspen and charged with assault and intent to distribute drugs. She was found in possession of cocaine, and allegedly, she was planning on selling it. I guess the residuals from her guest appearances on The World According to Paris just weren’t making ends meet.

Since the arrest, Brooke has reportedly been told that she needs rehab, and spending anything less than nine months inside a rehab facility would be a “total waste.”

Probably the most astounding thing in all of this is that, between these two, Charlie Sheen is the better parent. Charlie Sheen is the voice of reason. Charlie Sheen. The same man whose face is on a T-shirt that reads, “Bring me Dr. Clown Shoes.”

A source close to Brooke told RadarOnline:

“Brooke has done rehab on her terms in the past. 30 days isn't enough for an addict like Brooke.”

And apparently, a drug addict customizing their own treatment plan isn't effective, who’d have thought?

“Brooke is calling the shots, and not listening to her family, or medical professionals that are telling her she needs to be at an in-patient facility for at least nine months, and not as a day patient, as she has done in the past. Anything less than nine months is a disservice to Brooke, and frankly, is a total waste.”

Mueller has been in rehab at least three times in the past year, with her most recent stint being in April. Brooke currently shares custody of her two-year old twins, Bob and Max, with Charlie Sheen. And according to sources, they are the reason she doesn’t want to go to rehab.

“Brooke is simply powerless to her addiction right now. It's a disease and it's very much in control of her right now. Brooke is the most amazing, caring woman, and mother, when she is sober.”

The source continued: “Brooke just can't get in control of her disease, and if she doesn't finally surrender to it, and listen to what her family, and what medical professionals are telling her to do, she could die.”

Mueller was booked at Pitkin County Jail and was bailed out by Sheen with an $11,000 bond.
