Chandra Wilson will be making the most of her hiatus from Grey’s Anatomy this summer. She’s joining the cast of Chicago on Broadway! She’ll be playing the role of Mama Morton, the reigning cellblock diva, while the show is at the Ambassador Theater June 8th-July 5th.
Although we know and love Chandra for her television work, she’s no stranger to the stage! Her Broadway credits include Caroline, or Change, Avenue Q, and On the Town.
Additional theater credits include The Good Times Are Killing Me, for which she won a Theatre World Award, the Miracle Worker, and Paper Moon: The Musical.
You can pick up tickets at ChicagoTheMusical.com. It’ll be quick! It’s only a four week run, so make sure to pick up tickets soon! And Chicago is one of those shows that never gets old.
In fact, according to Broadway.com, it will become the seventh longest-running production in Broadway history on March 24, surpassing Rent with 5,125 total performances to date.
