Brittany Murphy's autopsy has reportedly concluded, yet the results have been deferred. Toxicology and neurological reports will have to be conducted in order to learn the cause of death, and the results could take up to five or six weeks to come in.
According to Radaronline, the autopsy surgeons took a piece of Murphy’s brain in order to proceed with furthers tests.
In related news, we’ve also learned that Brittany was having trouble on the set of her last movie, The Caller, on which she was reportedly replaced by Rachelle LeFevre.
Reports suggest she was fired for her erratic behavior. In addition, on Brittany’s prior movie Something Wicked, Production sources tell TheWrap.com that Brittany was "barely there...she'd go in and out of consciousness in the middle of takes."
The source says producers were forced to rewrite scenes involving her character, and that most of the cast and crew "presumed she used prescription drugs.”
Then again, Brittany supposedly told TheWrap.com herself back in 2001 that she couldn’t take drugs because of a heart condition she’d had since she was a little girl.
Brittany was so adamant about not taking drugs, so we want to believe her—especially in light of what has happened. But it seems the evidence is against her. We’ll just have to be patient and wait for the autopsy results to come in now.
