Brittany Murphy was laid to rest on Christmas Eve in a private burial held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles.
Close friends and family members gathered to say their final goodbye to Murphy, who died of apparent cardiac arrest last Sunday in the home she shares with her husband Simon Monjack.
The Kaddish, a traditional Jewish mourning prayer, was recited and the hymn "Amazing Grace" was sung, reports People magazine.
According to a statement released by the family, at the funeral Monjack called his wife his "soul mate." "He went on to say that mystery is the nature of love and you never know when or where it will strike or how quickly it will be taken from you," the statement read.
Rest in peace Brittany! You'll be missed!
