Things Not Looking Good For Brit In Court

October 11, 2007

Britney Spears did go to court this morning because she reportedly 'overslept' but her representatives were there to speak on her behalf.

Britney wanted to go to court to ask Judge Scott Gordon to allow overnight visits with her children. He didn't make a ruling but did tell Spears' attorney that he didn't consider this situation an emergency.

Your client (Britney) made a conscious choice not to do anything that was ordered…That was a choice. That put us in this position."

Brit's people disagreed with the judge saying, “I do think it is an emergency for a 2 and 1-year-old to be with their mother. I feel it warrants overnights. For a 1 and 2 year old it is developmentally and psychologically traumatizing to have their routine disrupted. They need a normal routine at home. Right now, visitation ends at 3 and at that point they are taking naps and are then woken up from their naps.”

Gordon responded, "I think you are right. These are important times. But at the same time this is a person who is dealing with challenges. And the challenges are substance abuse issues and emotional issues that could have devastating effects on the children."

At that point, the judge instructed the both parties to go and talk over things in the cafeteria. Rumor has It that Brit's lawyers are currently trying to figure out a way to have Lynne Spears to stay overnight when the kids visit. Kevin's lawyers are apparently against this suggestion. K.Fed is being quite the stiffy no?

I think you should all give the girl a break she's being through enough already let the girl get her head sorted. I agree it all went down hill when she met up with that creep. I think the media should give her some space and peace.

No, I do not think Kevin is "being quite the stiffy". Lynn should not be placed in that awkward position.Britney is just using her mom to get the kids back...she even told a pap last week she had the boys back. The court appointed monitor needs to be a "disinterested" third party, not one too emotionally involved with the case.It seems pretty obvious to me that this is all a game to Britney, it's trying to "Win" over Kevin. There were plenty of chances for Britney to do all the right things, but she chose not to. she has no one to blame but herself for loosing the boys.
0:17PM 10/11/07 Cannot Stand Domestic Issues
Although Britney can/should do better to workout/resolve these issues, her life definitely went downhill sometime after meeting the father (don't even want to say his name -- because he's the biggest joke on earth) of the two kids. That being said, if Britney can have her kids taken away for what's happened, then half of the kids in the USA should have their kids taken away.

i was wondering the same thing... didn't brit serve her mom w/ papers not too long ago? now that she's decided she wants her kids back, she's willing to comprimise whatever her original issue was w/ her mom? what a user. just another reason she SHOULDN'T have overnights w/ the kids. those poor babies. i really would take them into my home and care for them if i could. i feel so bad for them. i can't imagine that they get any time with other children as well, (besides their siblings) and that's really very sad. kids need to be around other kids. it's fundemental in their development. but so is milk, but we all see the soda stains on JJ's teeth.

It funny how Brits attorneys argue that not allowing the kids to stay a night with their mother will effect them emotionally while Britney's own actions will and is effecting them emotionally. Having different men and assistances in and out of their lives...smoking so dangerously close around them...seeing their mother drunk or high daily...having their mother "oversleep" their visits and not driving with them correctly in cars and so much more I could write. Like Kfeds lawyer said--this does not consitute as an emergency and Britney needs to start thinking how she can get better for the sake of her kids instead of acting like a spoiled brat wanting things to go her way at all times. We all know she doesn't have time for these boys and they are not her top priority. If they were--she wouldn't had "overslept" in a city that is an hour drive from where the court proceeding were being held the next day. I wonder if the judge knows what Brit was doing last night and how she promised to be there in court but didn't feel the need to show up?

She just wants her mom to babysit while she parties. Isn't this the same mother she banned from the boys? And what happens when they fall out again? I hope the judge see through this BS and keeps his orginal ruling.

“I do think it is an emergency for a 2 and 1-year-old to be with their mother," says lawyer. Um ... an emergency situation might also call for removing children from the "care" of a lousy toxic mother. (Don't ya know that she's toxic?)
