Forget the boy who cried wolf. It’s time to focus your attention on the girl who howled “Holy cow, yes!”
After three weeks of auditions, fans have become well acquainted with the new blonde behind “The X Factor” judges’ table. And, thus far in her three-week reign, Britney Spears has coined some seriously ridiculous and seriously legendary Brit-ioms..
"The singing came in, and it wasn't very, it wasn't very nice," she told a contestant by the name of Josh McCoy on the season premiere.
Another memorable expression from the opening night was the bizarre pairing of, “I think you're like Vanilla Ice meets Lauryn Hill meets West Side Story."
And who could forget when she brought a squeaky contestant down to cartoon level…
“"I felt like I was listening to Alvin and the Chipmunks," she said.
Our favorite from the premiere?
“You need a new teacher to teach you how to sing,” she told “X Factor” hopeful Will Thomas, who frankly didn’t have it…
The one-liners kept coming as the competition show continued its audition tour throughout the US, often becoming the highlight of each episode. On episode two she dropped both foreign language and made up language, telling Jason Brock and his boyfriend “Konichiwa”("good afternoon") and “Magnificento.”
And to list just a couple more favorites, just because I can’t resist…
"I wish you could wake me up in the morning," from episode three and, from episode four, “I'm scared I'm related to you or something."
Britney… Your ability to scramble thoughts into peculiar catch phrases continue to thrill us and – “X Factor” or not – are worth tuning in for on their own.
The epic vocal stylings from the original pop princess carry on this Wednesday of “The X Factor” at 8/7 c only on FOX.
