Spears' Family Secret Revealed

According to a new expose by Us Weekly magazine, Britney Spears grandmother Emma Jean Spears suffered from depression and committed suicide.

The mother of Britney's father Jamie shot herself at her 3-day old daughters grave when Jamie was just a child.

The magazine reveals, "Britney's paternal grandmother actually suffered from depression; she had lost her three-day-old baby and actually shot herself to death at the child's graveside."

Spears' grandmother was said to have slipped into a deep depression that she felt she couldn't recover from and took her life as a result.

That's a really tragic family secret for a magazine to expose, but that's the life of a celebrity. You trade in your privacy when you make your first million. It's like selling your soul to the devil.

Well you know Britney has been in the limelight long enough to know that her life will be a open book and that her past and her families pasts will surface eventually. It's how she and other celebs deal with those situations that makes them worth looking up to are quite the opposite and so far Brit has been going down a path of shame, and how she handles it is in a immature, self-centered way. Who would want to look up to someone like that, and who would want their kids to emulate such a trouble person. I understand that she has a damaged past and perhaps that is coming back to bite her in the ass, but like I said you could either learn and grow from that past and make yourself a better person by not following in those mistakes again or you could let them corrupt and destory who you are. I still think this girl should seek out some theorpy and maybe if she talk through her problems and what might be bothering her then maybe she would be a better person for it. It can not hurt, and if she does not want to talk to a theorapist then go to talk to a preist in Confession they are not allowed to rat on her ever. This is no reason why she can not talk out her problems.

If she does have a mental illness then all this crap in the media isn't going to help. Paranoia is a bad thing when mentally ill. As soon as she starts seeing a therapist, 2000 paps will be there for the first shot and make it so much harder to go into the session.

I don't understand what the big deal is.. this happens all the time, it's called real life. besides lots of celebritys had horrible things happen when they were younger. Us weekly just wants to make a buck.. they couldn't "reveal" this years ago? no only when she's down.. so they can make a few dollars. I don't think people really looked up to Britney.. They are NOT allowed to reveal anything that is said in confessional so she does not have to worry about information leaking out to public, and if she is photographed going to church then it would not make her look bad. It would probably hold more weight in her favor when she goes to court. Right? I mean trying to find faith and help could not possibly be looked down upon by anyone. I agree with you La Chat, she does need someone in her life she can count on and guide her in the right direction without telling everyone all the bad and not the good. But what I find disturbing is that when you are ill you don’t need people constantly digging your grave for you. Because believe me she is headed there a person can only take so much. That is why people just need to step up and say leave her alone, she is a human for god sake and we are all gods people and I am sure god does not like ugly!

DTE...If you feel that way then how come everytime Miss Thang, Tasha and me said that she needed to get help you were against it in the past? I don't think that it's good that she is hounded, but if she wasn't hounded by the press and the media I think she would be seeking them out, because she doesn't know anything else. That's her life. It's what she always lives for, and sometimes you are going to come off negative and sometimes you won't, but like I said it's how you handle those situations that determines what kind of person you are, and what kind of person you will become.

Again I have never said that I did not think this girl needed someone she can trust. I am clearly on Britney's side! She does not seek these people out, you must not live in CA becase if you did you would see the line of cars that sit at her gate and wait for her to leave.
