Lynn Spears Is Not An Expert At Parenting

Britney's mother Lynn Spears' has been getting a lot of heat lately for being a bad parent. Her book, Pop Culture Mom: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World was delayed after news broke of Jamie Lynn getting preggers at 16.

Christian publisher Thomas Nelson Inc. released this statement...

"From the onset, the media have inaccurately reported that Lynne Spears' book is a parenting book. I'm sure this helps fuel tabloid readership, but it is simply not true," said Michael S. Hyatt. "Lynne's memoir will provide a window into the real-life world of fame and worldly success, including the toll it extracts from some who aspire to it. It will provide a much-needed corrective to a world obsessed with the wrong priorities."

Hyatt continued, "We believe in redemption. Therefore, we are standing with Lynne and her family during this difficult time. Though the book has been delayed, we believe God is at work."

All that I have to say for someone with so much money you think should would be on some form of birth control. Lynne spears had to have know her daughter was having sex,so she should have done something to prevent it. Jamie lynn was to young and nieve to take the right precatious to make sure an unwanted pregnancy didn't occur and now she has to live with her choices.Yes to some her keeoing the baby is a good ideal(to others its a bad choice).The real issues that should be discussed is that this youngster had sex and is now pregnant.The youth of America should be more educated.As a 19 year old I was some things in high school but not much.I am now in high school and have 3 friends who have had pregancy scares while in college.2 of them used some form of birth control.The other did no.The 3rd did nothing to prevent a pregnancy affraid to ask a family doctor for birth control.I THINK THEIR SHOULD BE BETTER EDUCATION AT A YOUNGER AGE. Gentlepersons: I contacted this site to see if I could send an e-mail of tenderness and support to Lynn and Jamie Spears. I know they are suffering greatly. Reading the comments here, I was mostly disgusted at the lack of compassion. I can forgive juvenile lack of knowledge and experience but not the brutality I see here. As an elder and a mental health professional, I recognized what was going on with Britney when she had her brief marriage with Jason Alexander. That episode was classic bipolar behavior. She was out-of-control a long time ago. Lynn and Jamie are doing what any parent should do; whatever is the best thing for their children whether they like it or not. God bless them both. Anything other than tenderness and support for the whole, Spears family is unconscionable. Placenta's comments, in particular, shows such inhuman lack of compassion, not to mention ignorance and lack of structured reasoning. And, Tasha, Mohammed married a woman 15 years his senior, Khadijah bint Khuwaylid who was the love of his life upon whom he depended for her nurture and wisdom. When she died, he was inconsolable. As a civic leader, he was later expected to demonstrate care and compassion for his followers. When a follower died, he would, according to custom, marry the surviving widow to take care of her. Britney Spears should accept her diagnosis of Bi Polar Disorder as being just a very small part of her and not who she is, take her Depekote ER regardless of the weight gain, stick to a south beach diet with one cheat day and as long as she see's her loved one's as a threat, she should take her risperdol for two to three months and be under the strict care of Dr. Rapaport alone at Cedars in Beverly Hills.
