Lance Bass Came Out To Britney First

Lance Bass has admitted that his friendship with Britney Spears ended when he came out of the closet to her. He explains that she was one of the first people he came out to because she felt bad for her.

Bass tells GQ’s Mickey Rapkin, "It was the night of her first wedding, actually. I was in Vegas with her, her dancers, her manager, and my boyfriend at the time . . . Her manager had already gotten rid of [her first husband] Jason [Alexander] - they'd flown him home. Britney was upset about what she had done. I felt bad for her. I knew she was about to go through a lot of crap. I felt the need to share something. So I sat her on my bed, and I'm like, Well, I'm gay!"

Spears was "surprised. I was always the Southern gentleman."

After that Britney apparently stopped talking to him. He says that he tried to contact her because they are neighbors but he’s gotten no response so far. Lance, should just accept it…the friendship is over!

i dont think it was because Lance is gay! he said it was when she first got married THAT WAS THE TIME SHE TURNED TO DRUGS AND WENT CRAZY! IT HAD ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH LANCE BEEING GAY BRITNEY HAD HER OWN ISSUES!

no way the friendship stopped because he's gay,more than half her fans are gay and i dont think she would do that as she loves her fans,so not true of the gay part.

im gay and a huge britney fan and if the rumours are true that she also swings the other way then it cant be true that she's stopped talking to him because hes gay lol. i think its funny that some people would find anything to ridicule her with these days.

I think Lance should stop trying to get publicity of a professional relationship he had forever ago! No one cares! Britney has so many people vying for her attention, there's bound to be many who feel rejected. Lance is just one of them.

Lance has been telling quite a few lies in his new book and this is probably one of them. I think he's trying to get publicity so people will buy the book later this month. I know I'll be saving my money.

I don't think he's lying about this. I truely feel that this annocement caught Brit off guard along with her stupid choice to get married it was more then likely to much for her to handle in one day, and It wigged her out. For some people it's hard to except certain things in life. I actually was placed in a simular situation and I was caught off guard. I must say that it through me, and I was like what?, but I would not stop talking to this person based on sexual preferrance. It would be immature of me to do so, and to sum this up Britney is in fact a very immature person.

I agree that Britney was going through a tough time then. She just got MARRIED for Godsake. Did he want a cookie from her for coming out of the closet??? Get over yourself Lance Bass and stop tryin to ride Britney's coat tails. The girl stopped talking to her mom, why would she answer her door to him? (not that she's ever home to answer her own door, lol) She knows who the "gold diggers" are, or at least I hope she does.

Cosmoo...He trusted her enough to open up and say what was on his mind and what had more then likely been building up for so long. That's got to be really diffcult for anyone to do, and then to be treated poorly afterwards has to be really painful. I don't think he expected to be shut down completely by someone he consider a close friend. Referring to him as a gold digger is just a cheap shot and I must say you have lousey aim.

i think that lance isn't lying, but at the same time, i HIGHLY doubt that lance being gay is the reason why Britney did not respond to his phone calls. after she got married, there was so many media and publicity surrounding that whole stupid situation, and of course Lance's phone call is going to be lost within the rest. She was drunk when she got married too!! She probably drank some more when she had to go through annulment. also, britney loves her gay fans..half the people she worked with in the past (dancers, hair dressers etc)are gay. o and yes! after she her marriage was annulled..according to jason alexander..all her phone numbers were changed. so that can be another reason for britney not responding.

People keep making up excuses for Britney and I can't figure out why she a fucken asshole, and all those who say that he's (Lance)using Britney for publicity. It should not really matter since she gets free publicity as well when her name is meantioned in the book and in these articles so does Justin(also a asshole). So what's the big fucken deal. Lance is finally gets some attention after how many years why can't you all just let him have that? If you don't want to buy that book it's your prerogative, but it's not your place to encourage others to follow along in your foolishness and unsophisticated behavior.
