Keeping Britney Busy

March 31, 2008

Britney Spears

Jamie Spears was so impressed with how his daughter handled her recent cameo on 'How I Met Your Mother' that he wants Britney to stop making music and concentrate on her TV career instead.

A Spears insider said, "Britney did a great job on 'How I Met Your Mother.' She got the show its highest ratings yet, but more importantly for Jamie, he wants his daughter at a normal 9-to-5 job to keep her working and out of trouble. A sitcom would do that. So he's exploring several offers for Britney to have her own show."

Britney without music? Considering it’s the only thing she's known she was like 10...that could be difficult. What do you guys think? Would you rather see Brit as a sitcom star or head back to the studio for another album?

Britney did well on HIMYM only because it was a cameo..a short little spot with barely any screen time. Putting her in a sitcom? I don't know about that.

At least she's being a 'normal' person. It takes time to come back from mania and her dad is doing a great job of assisting her. He realises that a schedule is paramount. Well done!

I'd love to see her on her own show I think that would be cool but she can do both I mean music is what got her were she is today so her dad shouldnt change that much

How about being a mother to her kids.

Might it be possible for her to pull off both? Even sitcoms take a break in the summer; perhaps then she could record an album and dance for its videos. Keep her busy through the off days too. Jamie is right, she needs the consistency in her life that a daily work schedule gives. It's gratifying, both for her and the audience!
