Hollyscoop Bans Britney - Britney Spears

It’s been a busy week for Britney Spears. She’s went job hunting, took a dip in the ocean with just her bra and panties, and now she’s busy shooting a music video in an LA warehouse today.

Does anyone even care anymore? I mean seriously. This chick has gone to the dark side and she isn’t coming back. I’m not gonna lie to you, I was a huge Britney fan, I spent $60 on nose bleed section seats for her last concert and still have a poster of her on the back of my closet door. But seriously, this girl is just beyond help at this point. She needs to take a year off from the limelight, move back home, and just disappear for a while. It keeps getting worse and worse, it’s so bad that our own Nora is on the verge of a breakdown because of Britney. She breaks out into hives when she hears about the stupid things Britney does. No joke!

I want to say, ‘let’s give her benefit of the doubt’ just because she’s working on a video today, but I know tomorrow morning when I wake up there’s going to be some paparazzi shots of her looking like a mess with dreads walking barefoot in the middle of the street and we’re going to be back at square one.

So here’s my solution. We need a break from Britney. We’re officially going to ban her for a week unless you guys seriously object. So unless she has another breakdown, shaves her head, or reconciles with Kevin…NO MORE BRITNEY!

And to add to Jenn's response, Clint, Britney is a mother of two who is acting like an uncontrollable, spoiled, my sweet-sixteen wannabe, don't want to admit to it drunk/druggie who only wants to have random sex and drunk/party/and do drugs as much as she can while Amy may have serious problems, but she don't have kids to raise to put first in her life. There is a big difference. If you want to play house like Britney had once said she wanted to do because it looked to be so much fun, then you better be prepared to pretty much start putting yourself last behind your kids until they are old enough to fend for themselves. Sorry, that's just the way the cookie crumbles.

I would agree that people should leave her alone but I find it very hard to see why people think she's any more of a trainwreck than that microphone-to-head, husband-beating, "it girl" that is Amy Winehouse. At least Britney HAD a career and was on top of the world. Amy Winehouse hasn't been in the same league, is just as much of a mess, and no one seems to be all over her on this site for it?

I read that people in London used to go visit Bedlam - where they kept the mentally ill - just as something to do - go and laugh at the crazy people and throw things at them. This is all we are doing with Britney, Lindsey, Paris and a few others. Thank you for stopping the cruel tours of Bedlam.
