Government Owes Britney Spears $50K

We’ve only ever heard about Britney Spears’ money troubles, so this news comes as a bit of a shock! According to a new report, the government owes Brit and her ex husband Kevin Federline $50,000!

Yes, we said it right—Ms. Spears does not owe that money to anyone else! According to TMZ, the Louisiana State Department of Revenue is waiting for the estranged couple to step forward and the claim the money which is either from an interest fund earned on a joint property that they sold a few years back, or a shared income tax they filed.

Now the couple must claim the money, and decide how they’re going to split it up. We’re sure Britney never missed the $50K, which is like a day of shopping for the pop princess. But Kevin Federline is likely very excited about the news! Hey $25,000 is still a lot of money, even to pseudo-celebrities.
