Family Concerned About Britney's Health

Britney Spears has everyone worried that she is going to out herself soon. Members of her family fear they will “turn on the TV and find out she is dead”.

Her aunt Chanda McGovern said: “We are very worried that things are going to spiral out of control…Instead of her turning to her family she is going to turn to the friends she has been hanging with — and the partying and drugs.

“And whether it be intentionally or accidental, there may be a drugs overdose.

“We are worried about suicidal tendencies in her.”

Chanda McGovern married Britney’s uncle 14-years ago and Brit-Brit who was 11 at the time sang at their wedding ceremony. Her family apparently wants Britney to move back home to Kentwood, Louisiana for a while to get her life back on track but she’s not budging.

She adds, “You just want to reach out and grab her and hug her and tell her you love her. I want to knock some sense into her and say, ‘Britney — wake up!’”

I don’t think Britney is going to run back home and 'hug' any of her family members if they continue to talk to the press. I feel like she just gets even more pissed when she hears that her family talks about her publicly. Sadly, she doesn’t understand that people are trying to reach out to help her in any way possible.

Suicidal tendencies is a symptom of Manic / depression AKA bipolar. Brit is bipolar. It's a pity she doesn't get treatment.

Jive Records issued some bogus pass the buck statement about Britney...one which seemingly blamed the public and the press for her problems??? However, instead of taking the stance of enablers, her record company should go on the record as saying this:

"Britney Spears is clearly dealing with very intimate and disturbing personal issues...which have interfered with her ability to properly promote her new album. As a result, we at Jive Records have choosen to indefinately suspend the release of Ms. Spears' new album...in order to allow her to receive proper health counseling for her personal issues ---which we have encouraged...and insist she pursue...if our relationship is to continue. As always, the health of our employees and artists comes before profit--hence, we have taken this stance...as a pre-emptive and substantive intervention to assists Ms. Spears in this most important goal. As a member of the Jive Records corporate family, we consider Britney's well being paramount--hence, we are issuing this statement...as a declaration of support, compassion and understanding...at this most difficult time, in her life. That said...we must make it clear, although we support Britney Spears, if we failed to take these strong measures to assure her continued well being...we would be remise, in failing to properly assist one of our artists at a time of crisis." --Jive Records

That should have been Jive Records' statement. Sadly...it was not!!!

That's not a relative, that's not her aunt. She WAS married to Brit's uncle, and is divorced from him now. Yet another person seeking attention for themselves with no knowledge and no relationship with the person of whom they speak.

She reminds me of that cocaine poem: "I can make a preacher not want to preach, teacher forget how to teach."(paraphrasing). Brit is an addict and her family can cry, beg and plead. But until SHE decides to change, not much anybody can do. She has folks who care about her, but the drugs & alcohol is what is important in her life.
