Dr. Phil Thinks Britney's Mom Is an Asset

While the rest of the world is busying bashing Lynne Spears and her parenting skills, she's found an ally in Dr. Phil.

Dr. Phil must be drinking the same juice as the Spears, because he claims that Lynne is an excellent mother and an asset to the girls.

He said, "We know the Spears family, particularly the parents. An asset that Britney and Jamie Lynn both have is a great and dedicated mother. Lynne has her feet squarely and solidly on the ground."

"I talked to Lynne yesterday and she said they're turning to prayer, asked that I pray for them. That's how they're going to get through it."

Sorry to be the barer of bad news, but Britney needs more than prayer right now. She needs someone to slap her and tell her that it's NOT okay to spend the night with a paparazzi at your hotel.
