Did Britney Try to Hang Herself?

I'm gonna choose not to believe this story just 'cause its really sad and I'm seriously hoping its just a bad rumor.

According to News of the World, a source at Promises in Malibu claims that Britney Spears tried to hang herself with a bed sheet before pleading with her estranged husband to give her another baby. When the staff tried to stop her, she screamed “I am the anti-christ” and scribbled 666 on her forehead.

"Later that night she tried to kill herself," a friend told News of the World. "She attached a sheet to a light and tied it around her neck. Paramedics were called, but luckily she was unhurt."

"The clinic people just didn't know what to do. Then she started screaming, ‘I'm a fake! I'm a fake!' It must have been really frightening. When she tried to hang herself it was more a cry for help."

What do you guys think? You think she would have attempted suicide or is this just a bogus rumor?
