While Britney Spears was hibernating the past couple of years, she obviously missed Ashlee Simpson’s lip-synching debacle on SNL. Britney could have learned a good lesson, as last night she found out the hard way.
Spears was in Orlando, where she was performed at the House of Blues for a sold out crowd. The pop princess, who is trying to revamp her career got caught lip synching. Well it’s not like its breaking news, but she did have some embarrassing technical difficulties during her 14 minute show. According to multiple sources, while Britney was singing “Do Something” the track skipped a couple of times. Several audience members began booing and the scene wasn’t pretty. Sources say Britney turned her back at this point and she looked humiliated.
However Britney contained herself, got back on her feet and began lip synching. The crowd was chanting, chanting "Britney! Britney! Britney” and all was fine until another mishap occurred. Britney’s headset microphone broke.
But after wrapping up her set with a short version of "Toxic," the pop star came toward the edge of the stage, adjusted her mic and said, "I love you, Orlando. Thank you so much for being here. You're awesome. I love you!" Then she blew a kiss and punctuated it with her famous "muah!"
Hopefully all these “technical glitches” can be adjusted before the pop princess takes on the stage tonight in Miami. We got our Hollylicious snoopers up in the city who will be bringing us the toxic scoop.

[br] Spears performed a 14-minute set before a sold-out crowd at the House of Blues Orlando in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., Saturday night. And it was another highly-anticipated show: Fans waited for hours outside in a line that wrapped around the building to see the pop star.

[br] Like the series of concerts she performed at other House of Blues clubs in Southern California and Las Vegas, Spears proceeded to lip-synch a medley of older hits – but this time she experience a glitch: at one point the background track skipped, forcing Spears to improvise by turning her head away from the audience as the song got back on track.
