Britney's New Business Plan

Although Britney Spears' career may be at a point where it's beyond help, Spears' is convinced that she can do a better job than the professionals and has taken matters in her own hands.

Spears is now her own business manager and publicist. Although she is still signed to Jive Records, a source told the NY Post, "She is doing all of her own business now."

Spears was spotted at Aspen on West 22nd Street yesterday afternoon "signing contracts" - possibly related to the recent deal she inked to open a Las Vegas club. Spears will host the opening of LAX nightclub in Las Vegas next month.

LAX, whose investors include Christina Aguilera and Nicole Richie's former fiancé DJ AM, opens Aug. 31 in the Luxor Hotel.

"Britney Spears will host the grand opening," a club rep said Tuesday.

It would be great if she finally got her shit together and she had the last laugh...but somehow I just don't see that happening.

Everyone criticizes Lindsay's mom for being the 'source' of her problems, but Britney's mom (who sold her daughter(s) to Hollywood) has been dodging bullets. That's crazy. Brit is doing the best she can and I do hope she comes back and bites EVERYONE in the ass with her success!

I don't need to hold my breath. I only sympathize with Brit because I had a mom like that. Had to cut her out before I could get my life on track. Thank god I wasn't famous. Now I'm doing better than my entire family...guess who's laughing now!

Kay...Not everyone blames Lindsey mom. I actually in fact blame Britney. Britney did not look like a fucken hooker back in the day when her mom was helping her out, and Britney would not be the fucken millionaire she is today with out the help and finacial support from her mom. To be honest Britney needs seriously consider her actions before acting upon them. It would be a fucken mircle if that asshole is even able to get back into the business again. Sorry to break this to you she was not really that good of a singer to begin with. Their are now many more better singers, and they listen to what their handlers have to say to them, and she is forming a reputation for being difficult to work with. Which is the one thing in tinsel town that you don't want to ever do, but Hey keep believing what you want.

Anyone who says Brit has been doing the best she can is either kidding or thinks the pop tart is dumber than either Simpson sister. Here's a simple and obvious strategy on how to cope with getting millions of dollars undeservedly showered on your talent-challenged self: don't spend two truckloads on needlessly big mansions to show what a success (and environmental sociopath) you are; don't waste it on other stuff (like Hummers or Navigators) either; INVEST substantial portions of it so you'll have an income stream when the boom period in your career ends. It ain't rocket science. Oh - and if you don't like all the attention, stop seeking it!

Kay.....Britney's Mom is the only reason Britney was ever anything. She is clearly not a great singer and not the best dancer. She became a pop sensation only because of her Moms' efforts. Since doing things on her own she has married badly twice, gained too much weight, shaved her head, clearly needed rehab and looks like she needs more rehab, is running around in cheap wigs and horrible outfits including short shirts showing the fat stomach. Brit is 25 now and if by 35 she has not made up with her Mom I predict Brit will have committed suicide. Without her Mom Brit becomes the next Anna Nichole or porn star.

It is funny how no one was blaming Britney's mom for her actions BEFORE Britney started to blame her mom. It isn't her mom's fault. Britney is old enough to know better, and now that she is a mom too, she needs to act like one instead of a little spoiled brat who throws a temper tantrum everytime something doesn't go her way.

She won't be the first pop idle to sink into oblivion and she won't be the last. How can anyone possibly think Britney is right and ALL the people who have supported her and helped build her career are wrong. Not likely. She cracked marrying that K-fed and she has never recovered herself. She is acting out like a child and sabotaging herself. She will continue to make bad choices and she will burn through that $150 mil. and be back to the trailer-park once again
