Britney's "Blackout" Album a Flop

Britney Spears’ album got a lot more attention before its release rather than after its release. Unfortunately for Spears, album sales have fizzled. “Blackout” has sold a measly 430,000 copies after a month of its release.

I don’t know about you guys, but I think “Blackout” is definitely one of Britney’s best works. Put aside her personal drama, the album is a good fun album. We all know Britney didn’t have an amazing voice from day one. That’s why a dance like album was the way to go. “Piece of Me” which is her latest single is my #1 because it’s actually Britney sending a message out to everyone.

You're kidding right?The girl can't sing and the album is garbage...it all sounds the same. Oh well, we all have different opinions and I just stated mine.

This does not surprise me. I knew it would fail and so did Zomba, her label. Her album was a joke and she's a joke. It's over, Britney, it's over.

Her voice is being so overly produced in the studio now she sounds like a robot. The album is full of what I call songs with no substance. Totally forgettable.

Mick that's why she has to do all those dumb stunts of hers like when she dress up in her underwear for the VMA'S and skinny dip in the ocean, allowing her dog shit on a expensive designer dress during a photoshoot, claime her house is haunted(when we all know it's just the screw that loose in her head rolling all around), and the many other ridiculious things that she has done.

just cause she makes so much money doesn't mean she can sing!! she sold an image.. that's wot made her money.. teen princess who looked good and could dance around in barely anything... you don't have to be a good singer to get money in the music industry anymore.. which is sad.. cause so many of the good voice suffer to the image end...

One of her best works? I won't lie I have some of her songs on my ipod but only ONE is from Blackout and it's the song about KFed called Stupid Things. The rest of her songs are crap imo. The whole CD is mainly a computer. And whoever said she must have a good voice... no she has a good team behind her because she WAS a good performer. Without her ability to perform well she will end up being nothing.

Of course her album is a flop. When you half ass do something, you get half ass results. She's gonna have to get her life together before she can regain the success she had.

Or Tasha she might not regain all of what she had before, but she might get a lot of what she had before. It depends on how the public takes what she's putting out there. So far your right she putting out half ass crap for us to buy, and that goes to show that she doesn't care about her fans because if she gave a hoot about them she would at least try to do something half decent for them and right now she should need her fans more then ever as a support system. Frankly I think it's rather rude of her because she's got some passionate fans like Chris Crocker and others and she's treats them in a way that is somewhat like their expendable. Like their garabage that you could kick to the curb and be like hey I don't need you and you could like what I give you or you could just kiss off. For someone who makes a living off of her fans she should be kissing their ass that they even buy her CD.

I think her album sucks. Yeah it has some nice beats on some of the songs, but to me a great album has great lyrics along with a great voice and great beats....she's lack 2 out of the three on this album.

After I saw her VMA performance I choose to not torture myself any further. So I haven't her the album and I refuse to do so.

Britney was going thru total hell at the time and so I beleive it is a good Cd considering all. The media and the paps have tried there best to make her out to be someone horrible and especially the young 25 and under, will tend to beleive the BS. Millions still love Britney and are praying for her and there is nothing you can say about her to change this love. You don't like her or her Cd? Then go the ef away and bash someone else! Are you obesessed with her? Then shut up and hate on someone else!!!

rightly said. If the press hadn't hounded the poor girl so, she wouldn't be in this advanced stage of regression. People should really start standing up about those carrion eaters and cleanse them from this earth once and for all... I mean, remember Princess Diana? She died because those vultures pursued her car at crazed speed and drove her to her doom So give the girl a break and busy yourselves with hating on whale hunters or sealpup murderers or whatever. You know, like people who really DO evil and unforgiveable stuff in the world?

After only 4 weeks, the album is down to #41 (in contrast, the Eagles album is still at #5). This album is a massive, pathetic failure.

about her new album it sounds so amazing.. i realy like the beat and it makes me dance. her album was so unique and not bored.... she still a pop princes for me.

i thik brits new album sucks,ionly love give me more and piece of me.she should focus on getting her life back together and fight for her kids.she should also go to counseling then she should start singing again.i know that she is a good singer and can do better than this.

Well I think Britney is talented in many ways. She obviously has the "it" factor or she would never had made it this far. She'll be back, people don't just let their dreams die. Blackout is a fun dance album, no it isn't very deep, however she will release a new one soon.
