Now you listen here, Sam Lufti. We’ve been waiting for this wedding a long time. You do not screw this up for us. I mean, them. The happy couple.
Britney Spears’ lawyers are accusing her former manager, Sam Lufti, of “wrongful retention” of Britney’s drug test results in 2007. Lufti is currently suing the pop star and her family for breach of contract.
The thing is, those drug test results were ordered sealed during Britney’s custody dispute with Kevin Federline. Same clown, totally different circus. But Lufti wants to use that evidence is his upcoming trial against Spears.
Lufti is suing Britney’s parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears, along with Britney herself. Lynne wrote Through The Storm, which discussed Lufti’s role in Britney’s life during her umbrella-wielding meltdown back in 2008.
The problem is, if Lufti wants to use that drug test result as evidence, he has to file a bunch of paperwork and gets some signatures and what not.
RadarOnline reports that a source says Britney won’t head down the aisle until the issue with Lufti is resolved. Britney became engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Jason Trawick, late last year.
"Lawyers for Britney's conservatorship have been successful in keeping her from being deposed in the Lutfi litigation, and the lawsuit involving her Elizabeth Arden fragrance,” a source told RadarOnline.com. “First of all, everyone involved wants Britney to get married once the conservatorship has been lifted.”
Hell yeah they do, weddings are awesome. Free booze, free food. Let’s get this lawsuit thing over with.
Oh right, I’m probably not invited.
