Spears rejected a $10 million offer to host the next season of the show. I mean, that doesn't even cover her feather boa fund.
She reportedly wanted $20 million, and Cowell backed out.
According to a source from Spears’ camp, this actually happened three weeks ago, and Britney is now considering an offer to become a resident Vegas performer this fall, joining the likes of Celine Dion.
But back to ‘X-Factor.’ It’s getting down to the wire, and they still have those two judge spots to fill. It’s time to get serious. You know who would be a really good choice? Someone with pop music experience, but who is also relatively forgotten enough to take on a job like this. Someone like, I don’t know, Paula Abdul.
Maybe even someone along the lines of, perhaps Nicole Scherzinger? Maybe she would be good? I don’t know, I’m just thinking out loud here.
At this point, the ‘X-Factor’ is going to have to come up with a pretty big name to put on the judge’s panel, especially since they’re going to be competing with ‘The Voice.’
NBC has paid Christina Aguilera upwards of $10 million to return to judge ‘The Voice,’ and Paula Abdul was paid only $2.5 million from Fox for her hosting duties last season, according to another insider. So Fox might just have to ante up. But I can see how $20 million might be out of the question.
