Jason Trawick is expected to be appointed Britney Spears' co-conservator later this month. Legally, that means—I dunno, he has to make sure she gets her rabies shots each year or something? Who knows.
Either way, the two reportedly have no immediate plans to get married.
A source close to the situation tells Radar Online: "Britney's medical doctors think it's a good idea to see how Jason will do as her co-conservator as he is planning on marrying Britney. The two will probably get married later this year, and not anytime sooner."
The 30 year-old singer has been under conservatorship for the past four years due to her public meltdown and accompanying 2008 hospitalization. Her father, Jamie Spears, then gained the legal right to control her estate. Since then, Jamie has been calling all the shots regarding Britney's financial and business affairs, along with the co-conservator, Andrew Wallet. Wallet is Britney's lawyer.
Jason will now reportedly have final say on everything in Britney's life—from where she lives to her medical care.
So the rabies thing wasn't even that farfetched.
"This is the natural step because Britney's dad, Jamie, hasn't lived with Britney in almost two years. Britney has been living with Jason and her two sons in a rental house for almost a year-and-a-half," the source added.
And although Britney feels she's ready to take control of her own life, her psychiatrist apparently doesn't think it's a good idea.
"Britney has said that she feels she is ready to resume control of her life. She has expressed this sentiment on multiple occasions, but her doctor believes that Britney isn't ready for the conservatorship to be lifted. "
