It’s official, Britney is back!
Britney Spears will grace the October cover of Glamour UK, wearing nothing but a smile. Okay, and a gorgeous feathered Matthew Williamson dress.
Our favorite femme fatale posed for the mag in a few sultry, full-length lingerie shots, showing off her toned and tanned bod.
Spears is currently on her Femme Fatale tour, and will soon take the stage at the O2 arena in London. When asked how she’d feel about a William and Kate appearance, Spears said:
“That would be amazing. That would be really crazy and cool. I think they’re a beautiful couple. Unfortunately I didn’t get to watch the wedding, but I heard it was beautiful."
We all heard it was beautiful. For like, three months.
When it comes to turning thirty this year, Britney told Glamour:
"I think the older you get, the wiser you get. I can’t wait. I’m really excited and definitely gonna celebrate and do something spectacular. I’m gonna be in South America so I’ll have to do something pretty fun. A carnival of Britney?"
Something tells me a Britney carnival already exists.
Britney recently won two awards at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards: Best Pop Video and the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. After winning Best Pop Video, Britney’s Til The World Ends blew up on the iTunes singles chart, reaching an 85% spike.
Britney said in her acceptance speech:
“I wasn’t expecting this. First, I’d like to thank God for blessing me so much. My beautiful family. My two boys — Jayden and Preston — mommy loves you so much, babies … Ray Kay for directing this amazing video. To all of my fans. And Jason, I love you.”
Britney has become such a pop icon, an entire segment of the VMAs were dedicated to her career. Signers and dancers started off with Oops! I Did It Again and went through Britney’s catalogue of hits.
"It was really crazy. I had no idea what to expect," Spears said of the honor. "The kids were amazing and so entertaining, and it was a really fun night. It was really cool. I was like, 'Wow, that's really sweet!'”
Britney’s comeback has mostly been successful because, according to critics, her heart is in it. During her Circus tour, a fan rushed on stage, causing a huge uproar. But during this tour, when a fan somehow found their way to the stage, they were greeted with an unexpected hug from the singer, and Britney said, “it’s OK! It’s totally fine,” and continued on with her set.
Overall, she just seems to be enjoying the spotlight again. It’s good to have you back, Brit!
