Britney Rejects Rolling Stone

The only magazine covers Britney Spears has been on lately has been the weekly tabs (we're gonna pretend that horrendous Allure cover never happened).

According to new reports the suits over at 'Rolling Stone' magazine wanted Spears to pose for their upcoming issue, but Spears pulled the plug right before the contract was signed.

Spears called off the shoot because the bosses over at Wenner Media refused to promise her it would actually land on Rolling Stone instead of the weekly tabs, said an insider.

"It was going to be a good platform for her music to be taken seriously because it had been so long. But she refused to get screwed by Wenner," said the source. They kept negotiating, and it got nasty."

If you all remember, last year Nick Lachey thought he was posing for 'Rolling Stone' and he ended up on the cover of 'Us Weekly' instead. Needless to say, he was beyond pissed!

Spears should refrain from posing for any magazines for at least a year, or until she gets some decent extensions, which ever comes first.
