Britney Opens VMAs With A Non-Performance

There was sooooo much hype about Britney Spears opening the VMAs with a performance and all we got is two lines from her?!

Don't get us wrong she looked great but we would have much rather seen her perform or atleast give us something to talk about.

Thankfully, that wasn't the only time Britney made an appearance on stage. She also won for "Best Female Video for "Piece of Me."

"I'm speechless. Oh, my goodness, thank you!" Britney told the crowd. "I first wanna thank God for blessing me like this. My family ... my two beautiful boys for inspiring me everyday."

Later in the night Britney won two other awards. She took home the "moonman" for Best Pop Video and Video of the Year.

"I'm in shock right now," she said during her speech. "I want to dedicate this to all my fans."

haters go away. After Madonna Britney was a pioneer in teenager pop music. Appart from that she needed help in a difficult moment she went trough I think that instead of critcisin her people shoul have helped her. She's the number 1. Britney totally deserved to won ALL 4 awards Piece Of Me is an amazing song and the video showed what Britney went thru everyday! Still gorgoeus and still deserving awards. Cant wait for her next album ! GO BRITNEY !!

Britney proved everyone wrong! She absolutely owned the VMA's this year! She deserved it! She worked really hard to put her problems aside and make a good video. Everyone thought her video was great, but not even me, a diehard Britney fan, expected this! I'm so glad for her! THE PRINCESS OF POP IS BACK!

she looked awesome. im glad she kept it short sweet and simple, and her song pieces of me is an amazing song and it fit perfectly for everything she was going thru.. and just so you know hollyscoop there was NO buzz about her performing, her manager cleared it up 50 times saying there is no performace but she is opening the show.. soo

Britney looked great but that was nothing more then MTV kissing Brits ass. She didn't deserve to win video of the year for piece of me. That video was a piece of shit. She should have won years ago when she actually deserved to win, not now.
