Britney is a hot commodity these days. She's in negotiations for her own sitcom on CBS, and now producers of a new revival of A Streetcar Named Desire in London have offered Brit the lead role of Blanche DuBois.

Apparently, they've wanted Britney for the role for a long time, but she was considered too risky until now. Look at our little Brit, movin on up the ladder again! And for a British show! How sophisticated. Can you imagine not seeing Britney in the tabloids all over LA? Paps would miss her too much. What do you think? Will Britney accept the offer?

HIMYM only had high ratings because Britney fans tuned in, curiosity seekers tuned in and fans of Sarah Chalke tuned in. Next week, the show will be back down in the ratings. Britney's tiny cameo role certainly did not rescue the show. A sitcom with Britney? Oh please...she was cute as "Abby",and she pulled it off, but it was just a cameo. She still isn't where she should be mentally.

The question is, is she stable enough to be reliable enough for any of this---a long-running sitcom or months of overtime taping a movie? If so and she does do somthing British, at least she already has a good start on the accent with her British girl multiple personality!

I would hope she would not accept a role in Streetcar. At this time in her life it would be quite a stretch for her acting talent. Better to stay in the States and start out with a situation comedy role.

IF the London story is true - and that "if" is bigger than Kirstie Alley - then the producers are either complete idiots or don't give a mouse's fart about little things like talent. Because Twitney's acting talent is so little you need a magnifying glass to find it. Not much singing talent either, for that matter.
