Britney: Happy But Not Engaged

Good news to report for Britney Spears! She and her boyfriend Jason Trawick are still together.

Earlier this month, rumors surfaced that Brit had proposed to Jason while in Australia, and he had declined and then jetted back to the U.S.

But a source close to the couple says the story is “100 percent absolutely false.” The insider goes on to say the proposal never happened either. "There was no proposal and they were never engaged.”

The source also says the reason Jason left Australia when he did was because he’d already stayed longer than was planned! "Jason spent more time in Australia than originally planned," says the source. "They are very happy."

Phew! We love Britney and Jason together! This is the first time in years we’ve seen Britney stay out of the tabloids, and while we’re disappointed they’re not engaged, we’re glad they’re continuing to take it slow!
