Britney Going To The Emmy's

Britney Spears is not gonna let one lousy performance keep her down. Us Weekly is reporting that Britney might get back on stage as soon as Sunday for the Emmy's.

According to an Emmy source, Brit Brit is "in negotiations" to go to the Emmy's. "The idea is to have her come on and apologize for the VMAs. She's weighing the offer."

A source close to Spears says: "I can't say this is 100 percent not true. All I can say is that the Emmy people aren't dealing with her record company, her manager or her agents at William Morris. So if she is doing anything for the Emmys then it's not going through the official channels."

This just goes to show you that you can't keep a good bitch down. Good for Britney, she is not gonna let one lousy performance get the best of her. My only concern is that it seems like she is wasting a lot of time trying to prove the world that she's still got in when she should just try concentrate on her well being and the well being of her kids.

why is an opportunity to apologize for her (drunken)actions during the MTV awards at the Emmy's? the Emmy's is an award show that the VMA's was established to parody. having her come out during an ACTUAL awards show to speak about a non-awards show is disrespectful. her "apology" should be relegated to the talk show circuit.

She was visably high...and stumbling all over the place. Now she admits she took a pill before her performance. There was a serious problem here!!!

Was she fat??? No...I would be pleased to have girl with her body type, but she wore the wrong cloths for the performance... considering that she is not in her normal Britney Spears fighting shape, body wise!!!

Britney should have started her performance with her new song...gone into a song medley with a guest guitar solo from somebody like Slash or John Mayer...and closed with Justin Timberlake, Timbaland and T-Pain taking the stage with her. it would have been huge...but you need somebody who is halfway sober and well practiced to pull it off.

Britney is like in the mercy of everybody, with papz installing hidden camera on her backyard which I think she may not even be aware! Her life so exposed with no fault of her! Yet people claimed she played victim! Her VMA failure could be caused by too many people telling her what she should do without ensuring what she can do and delivered in a professional way. Besides, her performance wasn't really very bad cos' there were actually no major flaws, except she delivered it in an unenthuisiatic way, wrong choice of attire and shoes. Even if she has done any better, there were still be critics cos' nobody wants her to succeed!. It a sadist and pathetic world out there! Fortunately now, she still has the frients/fans who will support her till she gets well!

Basically, all these people are out to increase their viewership. It can be a win-win for Britney if she can pull it through but I sincerely doubt that Britney is in the right stage of mind to do it now. If these people are sincere, first they have to help her get rid of her obstacle, that is the guy who still fight over the child custody and her $$$. She stupidly shave her hair, go rehab just to ensure her children are not taken away from her - that's already is a full mother spirit. She sacrificed her career for LOVE and lost everything now including her own family....Her kids and Alli are now the only reason for her to live. Many people support her partly because they seen an innocent girl loose everything, family betrayed and deserted her all for $$$ instead of actually doing the right thing to help her! Even I doubt her lawyer is fighting for her best interest and protecting her wealth. With the kind of divorce settlement, she can't even move on with her life, stuck in LA, like still being trapped in the marriage. She should be the one having full custody of the kids or one of the kid so that there will be no fight over $$$. If the ex-hub claimed he got no net income, he should work as the part-time nanny to earn it.$15000 childcare support is already more than sufficient for the 2 kids, taking also into account that he already got the m$$ from the sales of the house. I hope the law in LA is upright and just to ensure there will never be another MR KFED exist in this world!

Amen to that!!! Imagine if Britney works out for a year...and stays out of the press being careful to keep her body covered...and then "Bam"...she returns to show off her new hard body? That would blow everyone away!!!

And I could see her return with an album called "Breaking The Addiction"...an album about her rise and fall...and her return to believing in herself again and getting cleaned-up from addiction...and not only addiction to drugs or alcohol, but addiction to people and bad behavior. It could be a really wonderful "Theme Album"...about finding her self esteem again, and learning to put her kids first, and thus finding her path back to being a good mother, and mending fences with her family and fans!!! This, as well as learning to cut certain so-called friends out of her life, who have only acted to lead her toward the cliff of self destruction, not away from it, for the sole purpose of using her for her name, money and her fame.

Now, that's the album that I want to hear...one that will win Grammy after Grammy!!!

I don't think Britney should apologize for anything. She put MTV back on the friggin' map because no one care about the VMA anymore (since MTV doesn't play videos anymore). She should put the performance behind her and go away for a year....get clean, get her body healthy and work on better music. She needs to stop allowing herself to be the joke of the industry.

This all reminds me of all these shows like the AMAs that kept using a clearly drug addicted Anna Nicole Smith to present awards so everyone could laugh at her. Well, the entertainment industry and the media, one in the same, didn't tell her to clean-up...and by their collective non-action...and their constantly using her as a human punchline at numerous events...Anna Nicole Smith thought, and knew, that her behavior was considered exceptable by the entertainment industry and the media at large. As a result, look at how that story ended!!! Now, they have moved on to other human punchlines like Britney Spears, Lindsey Lohan and Paris Hilton...all of whom they'd loved to help destroy themselves, just like Anna Nicole Smith...via the same non-action in regard to making an honest effort to reach-out and help these young ladies. No, instead they'd rather pander to these troubled souls, and allow them to keep spiraling out of control...and further toward the brink of disaster. And if that weren't insult enough, we now have an insincere Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Paula and the other folks at American Idol are pro-actively pandering to Britney Spears and her addictions by not adressing them. There is a big fat flying pink elephant in the room and nobody is saying anything about it!!! They say they wish to help her with her career, but they refuse to address her drug and drinking problems as a first step in this effort. They have even failed to give her the good advice of saying: "Mend your family...before anything!!!", and specifically that should begin by Britney mending her relationship with her parents. These industry people don't give a damn about her, and the same is true of the Emmy folks who are thinking about hosting her with a guest spot on their show. If they really cared about this woman's personal welfare, somebody would step in with an drug and alcohol intervention...not more deals!!!
