Britney Brings Down The Billboards

Don’t mess with Britney Spears, because she is brining down the billboard and were not talking about the music charts. She might have shaved her head but she definitely doesn’t want to be reminded by it.

Britney’s lawyers are taking action against a series of Billboards that feature a bald headed pop star to promote the “The MJ Morning Show”. The billboards which question her sanity have been running since April in Florida.

Clear Channel Communications who owns the radio station that the show runs on is in deep trouble as Britney’s layers claim, ”likeness has a multi-million-dollar value for authorized commercial exploitations". As a result Britney is entitled to "very substantial damages" from Clear Channel.

Damages for what, ruining her tarnished image? Tell us your thoughts, do you guys feel as if these billboards are uncalled for? Whatever the case is, “The MJ Morning Show” is now in the center of some Britney drama which is better advertisement than a lousy billboard.

Britney has no case!!! The fact of the matter is, this is a parody, therefore, they have the right to Britney's likeness. I mean, I'm sure that Britney's camp wasn't complaining when this radio station was placing her face on billboards before she went bald...by choice....and by her own hand, by the way!!! And it is not like this was slander, Britney actually went nuts, shaved her head bald, and has been in therapy because of it...and that's certifiable. I'd call this, truth in advertising!!! So tell me, is that what she is suing them for--telling a publicly known truth about her??? What jury would decide in her favor...except a jury assembled from Clown College students and instructors??? But then again, even the clowns would laugh her out of court in this case!!!

they are totally wrong! they have no ground to stand on, and if i were her, i'd sue just to get the point across! she's entitled to all kinds of damages. it's good to see them take it down.

This is wrong and if I was her I would not make threats I would just give it to them. So what if she shaved her head it is her life and her head and no on has the right to make a buck of her during a low point in her life. Britney has not done anything to anyone but herself so back off and just let her live her life like she wants to after all it is her life.

Wrong!!! This is no different than the skits on Saturday Night Live, Jay Leno, Howard Stern, and or Jimmy Kimmel, etc., when they show real video, picture footage, or play audio of a star for the purposes of a joke. Those are all for profit shows...btw. Point is, under current parody laws, they have the right to lampoon anyone they want, just as long as they are in the public domain: Meaning, somebody who is famous or has achieved some level of public notoriety. This picture was taken by a photographer as Britney attacked him, and was printed in the tabloids. Thus, the owner of the picture...either the photographer, or the tabloids, if they bought it's ownership from him, have the rights to the picture. But since it was posted as news, others, under the law, have the right to use it with respect to certain criteria...and parody would be one of those criteria!!! Britney has repeatedly acted like a fool in public, and has brought this on herself. She had no reason to expect privacy at the time the picture was taken...this, based on the fact the she was outside and could openly, and thus publicly be observed by anyone in the general area. If she takes this matter to court, the judge will quickly throw the case out...and this ad campaign will only garner more publicity than it all ready has. A smart person would just leave it alone...and allow this to fade away and become yesterday's news. In this case however, Britney's greedy lawyers got out of control here...in order to pinch their client for more money, hence they have moved to threaten to file a case that will only serve to enrich their pockets...even when they know for a fact that Britney will lose the case...should it go to court!!! That's close to serious impropriety in my, and or, anyone else's book, who understands the law!!!

Britney is a nut job and i think this "case" shouldn't go anywhere. She damaged her own reputation. I love this billboard. It shows brit at her best!!!!

Whatever the legalities, it's pretty cruel and tasteless to laugh at someone with mental health/dependency issues, dontcha reckon? I'm no fan of hers, but i think she is obvioulsy vulnerable and ridiculing/shaming her does nothing to help her move on with her life.
