Britney and Kevin Settle Custody Battle

July 18, 2008

There will be no more out of control Britney and Kevin court dates because the custody battle has been settled before it could go to trial. Chances are it would get real messy if it went to trial and both parties are just trying to avoid that.

Both Kevin and Britney signed an agreement that reportedly gives Kevin sole custody and Britney visitation rights.

"The case has been settled," K. Fed's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told E! Online. "The court still has to approve it. "

Ummm…what changed? Didn’t Kevin already have sole custody? Wasn’t Britney fighting to get 50/50 custody? Maybe Britney’s camp new that was impossible at this time and will try again at a later date.

Too bad she lost custody of her kids. I don't think either one of them should have full custody. It should be shared equally.

Settlement means payday for K-Fed and his lawyer.TMZ has learned under the terms of the settlement, that will become a done deal shortly, K-Fed will get more child support, i.e., more jack in his bank. Currently, he pulls in $15,000 a month from Britney. Under the deal, he'll get just south of $20,000. As for K-Fed's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, there's something in this settlement for him. Kaplan, who wanted a trial last month, will now settle and get an additional $200,000 from the bank of Britney. Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have settled their child custody case ... finally. Sources say K-Fed plans to show in court today but Brit will not. Sources tell us the two have agreed to a custody arrangement that will give Brit more custody with their two kids by year's end. Currently, she sees Sean Preston and Jayden James three days a week with one overnight. The settlement is a huge development because next month's trial is now kaput. We're told Brit, grandpa Jamie and K-Fed all wanted to avoid the expense, emotional wear and tear and media frenzy connected with a full-blown trial. Interesting, we think -- Disso-queen Laura Wasser, who repped Brit from the get-go and was able to retain 50/50 custody even when her client was melting down, has been back on the case for only a month and the Brit ship is back afloat. On K-Fed's side, his lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, was able to turn one of the most reviled guys in the U.S. of A. into Daddy Dearest and win him primary custody. The lawyers will be in court Friday to present the deal to Commish Scott Gordon for his approval. What a world.

Britney is just saving herself some money, give it 6 months with Laura on the case, and if Britney continues the path she has been on, she will get her kids back. "Kevin Did Not Disappoint Shar or Kids" When did Shar say that? Was that when he left her and the children for "money" I mean Britney? When he was on tour with Britney for a year and did not see them at all? According to the news I have read Shar was so pissed she was not talking to Kevin and Britney was the one who changed that. Kevin is a loser any way you want to look at it. Kevin is the one going to the clubs these days.

Hey Tasha...long time! But I agree with you. Brit isn't fit to raise those kids right now. The only reason she is "sane" is because of her 24 hr survillance from her father. Once they see how she deals with life on her own (which is said to say for a 26 yr old mother of 2...) then they can reevaluate the custody agreement. And Martin, Kfed has done a complete 360 and according to Shar, he has never disappointed their children and her approval is all that matters right now. If Brit's lawyers really thought he didn't care/want/or was only after money in regards to the boys trust me there wouldn't had been a settlement made.

I vomit from him.. how he cares about Brit´s kids, when he was awaiting his 2. child, he left her pregnant wife..those kids kevi?? What about those? Never mind, you made some more..Tasha you are for sure wise person knowing EVERYTHING..

Good decision. She should get her life together first and in about a couple of years then REVISE the custody agreement. But right now she is not capable of raising children.
