Biography
Britney Jean Spears was born in McComb, Mississippi, but her family moved to Kentwood, Louisiana, and she was raised there from a young age. Britney is born to Parnell Spears, a building contractor, and Lynne Spears, a former grade school teacher. She has an older brother Bryan Spears who works as a manager for the family, and a younger sister Jamie Lynn who is an actress and singer. She was a raised a Southern Baptist by her parents. She regularly performed in her local Baptist Church choir.

Spears attended gymnastics classes until age nine and started to compete in state-level competitions. At eight years old, she auditioned for the Disney Channel series, The New Mickey Mouse Club. She was too young to join the series, but the producer of the show introduced her to a New York City agent. She ended up spending three summers at New York City’s Professional Performing Arts School. She also appeared in a number of off-Broadway productions such as Ruthless!. In 1992 she starred in the TV show Star Search and won only the first round of the competition. At 11, she earned the spot on The New Mickey Mouse Club in Florida, and was featured on the show until she was 13. Her cast members include Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Keri Russell, and Ryan Gosling.

After the ending of the show, Spears returned to Kentwood and went to High School for a year. In 1997, Spears joined an all female pop group Innosense. She ended up leaving the group and decided to go solo. She was eventually signed by Jive Records and became an opening act for pop groups ‘N Sync and Backstreet Boys. Spears debut single “Baby One More Time” was released in 1998 and was an international success. It earned number one spot on the Billboards Hot 100 and earned nine million sales worldwide. She was featured in the April 1999 cover of Rolling Stones and triggered speculation that the 17 year old had breast implants.

In 2002, Spears’s four year relationship with Justin Timberlake ended. Rumors spread that Spears had been unfaithful after Timberlake’s “Cry Me a River.” In 2003 Fred Durst confirmed that he had a relationship with Spears, although she denied it. Spears married childhood friend Jason Allen Alexander in 2004 in Las Vegas at The Little White Wedding Chapel. The marriage only lasted 55 hours. In 2004, Spears announced her engagement to Kevin Federline and married in 2005. Together they have two children Sean Preston Federline and Jayden James Federline. Spears and Federline filed for divorce in 2006 and it has been down hill for Spears ever since. She had a public mental break down and was even admitted to rehab. She has been involved in an ongoing bitter custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

2008 was not the best year for the Spears family. Britney was going through a meltdown so big, that I still have no idea how she bounced back from it, and if that didn’t grab enough headlines, her younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, then gave birth at 16 years-old.

Four years later, though, and Jamie is back in headlines, talking about what it was like to get knocked up when she’s barely old enough to drive.
Is this happening? If Twitter has anything to do with it, then yeah.

Yesterday, Britney Spears innocently tweeted her love of the ABC comedy, “Modern Family,” writing, “I know everybody is excited about the Super Bowl, but I personally can’t wait to see the next episode of Modern Family! Funniest show on TV.”

Then, Modern Family star Sofia Vergara retweeted it and caused her manager to write, “@BritneySpears on Modern Family? What do you guys think?”

Now you listen here, Sam Lufti. We’ve been waiting for this wedding a long time. You do not screw this up for us. I mean, them. The happy couple.

Britney Spears’ lawyers are accusing her former manager, Sam Lufti, of “wrongful retention” of Britney’s drug test results in 2007. Lufti is currently suing the pop star and her family for breach of contract.

The thing is, those drug test results were ordered sealed during Britney’s custody dispute with Kevin Federline.

'Congratulations, honey, here's your life back.'

Britney Spears' wedding to Jason Trawick has just been given a (rumored) date and location. The couple will reportedly tie the knot on Valentine's Day (February 14 if you're not good at holidays) in Maui.

And the best part of it all? Spears' dad has a very special gift for her: the end of her conservatorship. Almost as good as a waffle maker.
While filming a weight loss show in Australia, Kevin Federline was rushed to the hospital.

Federline has been filming the show Excess Baggage when he began having chest pains. Which doesn’t surprise me, because if you’ve seen any of these weight loss shows, they’re ridiculous. They expect these poor, fat people to do things that normal-weighing, healthy people probably couldn’t do. Then again, I’m out of breath walking up a flight of stairs so maybe I’m not the best judge.
Detail number one: there will be lap dancing. Lots and lots of lap dancing.

Jason Trawick popped the question to Britney Spears just before Christmas, kicking off that whole slew of celebrity holiday engagements. And now, we have some details on the impending wedding.

"It's going to be a very intimate wedding with only immediate family and very, very close friends," a source told RadarOnline.com.
Britney Spears is newly engaged to her former agent Jason Trawick, and according to some close family sources, she's already planning the wedding.

She apparently wants a low-key, traditional, southern wedding. Not at all like her quickie Vegas wedding or her surprisingly classy, yet over-the-top wedding to Kevin Federline.

“She wants a traditional Southern-style wedding with comfort food...

New moms need all the advice they can get: Keep extra diapers on hand, trust your instincts, don’t set your baby down on the roof of your car like a cup of coffee…the list goes on.

At the People’s Choice Awards 2012, Hollyscoop caught up with some red carpet A-listers to talk about the big buzz this week--Beyonce's new baby. And celebs had plenty of advice to share with the new mom.

Alyson Hannigan told Hollyscoop she has one word of advice for Beyonce and Jay-Z:
This year, we lost a very special celebrity couple—Russell Brand and Katy Perry. But not to worry, because for every breakup that happened over the holidays, there were like, ten more engagements.

Apparently all the celebrities got together before the holidays and decided to bombard the media with news of their engagements. Because we’ve almost lost track, here’s a recap of who’s getting married in 2012.

Halle Berry & Olivier Martinez: Oooooo la la! Halle is reportedly engaged to the French actor she met while filming Dark Tide. That explains the glacier she’s been wearing on her finger since New Year. Not even global warming could stop that thing.

Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel: Justin Timberlake’s grandma did rumor control when she...
Britney Spears might be one of the biggest pop icons alive, but her wedding isn't going to be an over-the-top, lavish affair. Nope--bring out the turnip greens and put on your best overalls, 'cuz Brit's plannin' a good ol' fashioned southern soiree.

"She wants a traditional Southern-style wedding with comfort food, surrounded by her family, her two sons and all of her childhood friends, as opposed to a Hollywood wedding," an insider told In Touch Weekly.
