Brian Austin Green Joins Smallville

Brian Austin Green has landed himself a job! He’s got to do something to occupy his time, now that he and Megan Fox are reportedly dunzo.

Green has been cast as the kryptonite-powered cyborg Metallo on Smallville. TV Guide reports that he’ll appear in the first two episodes at the very minimum, with the first episode premiering September 2nd.

Brian was originally set for a role on One Tree Hill, another CW show, but that deal fell through. Robert Buckley ended up taking that role.

Brian was also attached to the CW pilot Body Politic, but that never ended up getting picked up. We’re glad something worked out for him. He could probably use a little pick-me-up!
