Dawson and his wife have called it quits!

James Van Der Beek and Heather McComb have decided to split after 6 years of marriage. The two wed back in July 2003 and in Hollywood time that's a long time so they've decided to split.

"They remain good friends," his rep tells Us Weekly.

They always remain good friends until money gets involved. When they start splitting that things always get ugly.
