Former President Dies
We're sad to report that former President Gerald Ford has died at the age of 93. The 38th president, who was never elected to office, took on the role after Richard Nixon’s scandal shattered the White House.
Ford died at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at his home in Rancho Mirage, California. No cause of death was released. Ford had battled pneumonia in January 2006 and underwent two heart treatments including an angioplasty and a pacemaker implant.
Funeral arrangements are to be announced Wednesday. Our prayers go out to his family and friends.
