But…this was supposed to last forever…I mean, they met on television, for crying out loud. Reality television. Doesn’t that mean anything anymore?
According to reports, Emily Maynard returned the engagement ring Brad Womack gave her when he proposed in the season finale back in November.
A show insider says, “It’s completely over now.”
Obligatory proposal? Check. Appearance on Ellen? Check. Face above the word “Heartbreak” on magazine cover? Yup, it’s all covered, and you can now both update your IMDB pages.
In a joint statement last month, the couple said, "It has been a bumpy couple of months for us. Our priority right now is to focus on our relationship."
Womack lives in Austin while Maynard is in Charlotte, where she is raising her five year old daughter. Otherwise, I’m sure it would’ve worked out. Because if there’s anything The Bachelor has taught us, it’s that finding love is possible. For at least a few months, and then you can get a spinoff.
Womack has been one of the most disliked bachelors on the show, and appeared on last season’s show to clear his name. In his first go-around in 2007, Brad rejected all twenty-five women, becoming the first bachelor in the show’s history to do so.
Rumors began surfacing when Maynard was seen spotted without her engagement ring. An insider said that she was the one to initiate the split, adding,
“Emily is happy in Charlotte and is not moving to Austin…she is content.”
Another friend of the couple said that Brad has taken the news badly and keeps drunk dialing her.
“Brad is such a loser”, the source said.
That pretty much sums up what I’ve been trying to say in 250+ words.
