The Scoop From The Toronto Film Festival

Just because we are not in Toronto for the International Film Festival, doesn’t mean we cant bring you all the scoop. The festival which runs until September 16 will unveil 352 movies from 61 countries.

Most of Hollywood’s hottest stars were spotted in the city including Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon and Christina Ricci who introduced their upcoming flick Penelope, a whimsical fable.

Sean Penn, Jude Law and Kate Winslet also took to the red carpet together on Sunday night when their political drama All The King's Men was screened. Jude and Kate have both been roundly applauded for their appearances in the movie, but critics have pointed to Sean, who plays Louisiana governer Willie Stark, as the likely Oscar contender. We're rooting for Sean too, he's without a doubt one of the best actors in tinsel town.

While Brad Pitt was also in attendance for the premiere of his new drama Babel. When Brad Pitt turned out to promote his latest offering, he seemed more interested in discussing his new baby girl. The 42-year-old confessed that, having become a father to little Shiloh, he would be rather more careful about future movie choices. "That's exactly my thoughts these days," said the actor. "'What are they going to see from films from the past?' It definitely colors what I'll approach in the future. I'll try to be a little bit more mature about my decisions."

Penelope Cruz is also in Toronto promoting her upcoming flick Volver and looked smashing at her premiere. Other films premiering in Toronto include Borat: Cultural Learnigs of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, A Good Year, Infamous, Bobby, Stranger Than Fiction and many more.
