SAG Award Nominees Announced

December 18, 2008
by:
 Bridget Daly

The nominations for the 15th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced this morning, and without a “doubt,” one movie in particular is leading the race. Can you guess which one it is?

That’s right! Doubt leads the race with five nominations, including Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Motion Picture. But they’re not the only ones celebrating.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are both being nominated for Outstanding Performance by a lead actor/actress for their movies, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and The Changeling, respectively.

Heath Ledger was recognized for his role in The Dark Knight, which we all anticipated to be the case.

As for TV shows, 30 Rock, John Adams, Mad Men, and The Closer all have three nominations each. The awards show airs January 25th on TNT and TBS.

Who are your favorites to win? Check out the entire list of nominees here!

Always a bridesmaid never a bride right? They always get nominated, but they NEVER personally win. There is a reason for that. THEY SUCK AT ACTING!!!!!!!!These award shows haven't been real award shows in decades. It's a runway show for the in crowd. The thing is, in Hollywood, you are only "in" until the next new thing comes along. Brad and Angie are only considered "in" because of all the scandle they bring that sells trash mags. Certainly not for their acting abilities. Heath should get it. That is ACTING!!!!

Brad and Angie are at the top of the A-list world of Hollywood. Brad's ex-wife strips for a stupid DOG movie, posing desperately with a hired fake boyfriend. The world sees the clear winners of life now.

It is a business-spending money is the heart of the beast and keeps revenue up-they did not create the mortgage prob. or the "Wallstreet probs." They are what they are and can spend what they see fit to use as they wish-and Heath should have won for Brokeback-his joker was not his best work and not the best work of the noms.

If they took the money spent on all the hoopla surrounding these silly ass awards, we probably wouldn't need a bail out plan.
