Pitt and Jolie Buy Island

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie want to make their adopted daughter as comfortable as possible. So what do they do? They buy a man-made ISLAND in the shape of Ethiopia off the coast of Dubai.

By purchasing the island, Pitt and Jolie want to make people aware of environmental issues and encourage people to live a greener life.

So what’s the last thing your mom and dad bought for you?

Update: Brangelina's rep has denied reports that the couple purchased the island.

Now let's hope they pack up their shit and leave already! Or is this another place they will have bought and wont ever use (like the new orleans house). I'm so sick of these two telling ANYONE how to live a better life! So tired of actors that think they're politicians and politicians who think they're environmentalists! Concentrate on enrolling themselves in acting classes, worry about their poor children who will be unstable from a "stability free" upbringing, and worry about how much they contribute to polluting the environment with their JET that they fly all over the world!

Umm...they are purchasing the Island to make people aware of environmental issues? Construction of "The World" has come at the expense of the environment causing many concerns. It's like smoking to bring light to the negatives of smoking. What dumbasses.

Haha, so true Jaba. The island they bought is in the constructed Palm Islands. I saw all about it being constructed on the show Modern Marvels on History Channel. It's pretty much going to be the haven that rich people and celebrities will flee to when America is in a depression and the world is in chaos killing and bombing each other. And the men employed to build everything there in Dubai are totally underpaid and forced to work and live in horrible conditions. They pretty much trick the men into coming out to work, and then don't pay them enough to leave!

Hey, Jenn--I saw that modern marvels, too! Yeah, purely vacation. But, why would anyone go to the middle of the desert for vacay? If she wanted to really help, she would buy a cottage in Ethopia; bringing business and recognition there. Fame Whores.

Just another way to exclude other people. Property Rights in our country especially are poorly defined. If this story is true I hardly can understand how a man made Island could be environmentally sound.

This story came out a year ago and they denied it then. It's just being recycled and again their rep has denied it but you idiots believe anything you read which is why they recycle stories all the time.
