Ellen Helps Rebuild With Brad Pitt

January 17, 2008

Ellen DeGeneres is teaming up with Brad Pitt to continue his efforts in helping to re-build devastated parts of New Orleans due to Hurricane Katrina.

Ellen made an initial donation and has asked her viewers to join her in supporting the cause. She's even found a cool way to involve her viewers.

You can contribute cash or adopt a part of one of the houses. Team Ellen has already raised $169,838, which surpasses any of the other team-sponsored homes. Visit MakeItRightNola.org to join Brad & Ellen's team!

I think Brad should be careful not to bring Ellen home with him. Angie may want Ellen next. Watch out Porsha (or whatever your name is). Angie has no mercy for any couple. She TAKES what she wants.

I agree with the first comment totally, besides it is a REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT FOR OLD PITTIFUL! Ellen can't be that stupid! But then again crying nationally over a dog, I don't know!

Thank you for posting this! I just donated $20. It's not much, but every bit counts. I was in New Orleans last month, and it still needs a lot of help. All of the residents were thanking us for coming and spending our money there to help them rebuild. I hope I get a chance to go back soon!

Celebrities make obnoxious money. Why the hell can't they each take the measley $150,000 from their paycheck and buy a house for these people?! Come on already. So many of these actors & other celebs like Oprah and Ellen make sick money (along with overpaid athletes) - and Ellen has to ask her viewers to help?! The reality is that most people in this country live paycheck to paycheck or above their means and are in debt... so why don't the hot shots that score millions a year in salary compensate on behalf of the rest of us!
